Today class only took about one and half hour which is from 8am to 9.30am. But because of having basketball practice in the evening, I stayed back until 5pm. However, it was raining at that time, so I just went back, leaving my teammates playing basketball in the rain. (Perhaps they were enjoying.)
It was raining cats and dogs, but because of there was pasar malam in front of the hostel, so the bus left us at ESSO bus stop. This means that I had to walk a long way to hostel in the rain. Well, I did not bring umbrella today and I felt not like walking in the rain… May be it is too “romantic” (I saw a pair of couples walked back to the hostel with an umbrella.)!
Fortunately, I have such a friend that is very helpful, which is Wendy. She had promised to bring me an umbrella. Touched! Yet, she was slow…(I still appreciate lah!)
Yea, a friend who comes and helps you when you need her/him is a true friend.
I have heard a story before:
There were three good friends who live in different places. During a winter, one of these buddies was so poor until he did not have money to buy a sweater. One of his friends had known this situation, and he rushed to him at once, to share his only sweater with him. However, the another friend had dropped him a line, giving his apology that he is staying far away. After the winter, the friend who sent the letter came to him and gave him a sweater as a visiting gift. At that moment, the once poor guy said to his friend, “the true friends are those who send you the matches when you are cold, but not those who bring you coal when the spring comes.”
Yea, Wendy is the one who had sent me the matches. And, I really thank her, so much.
Thanks, friend, for bringing me the umbrella as well as the warmth of friendship.
