Childish action

Just found out there are two kids drowned from the newspaper.
I was thinking, why are the kids so rebellious, did they even know what the term "danger" means?
I said to myself, I was never so naughty to play in the river without being accompanied by adults.
Suddenly, I recalled something, which I almost forgot.

I was nine or ten at that time.
May be my friends and I were affected by primary school essay,
that people always picnic beside a river.
So, Jun Yen, Hwee Nei and I decided to go picnicing besides "The White Bridge River" in my village.
We didn't tell anybody, 'cause we are dead if adults know.
We hid our bicycles in the bush and started enjoying junk food and playing water there.
I do not use the word "swimming", because we do not know swimming at all.
How dare we?!

At that moment, we didn't think of any unfortune could happen on us.
Somebody said:" I swear we are the number one courageous girls in this village."
Another said;" Let's carve something about us on the rock, but remember, not our name. "
All we cared about is not to be known by adults, especially a very fierce teacher who stays nearby.
Suddenly, I heard some voice caming from above the bridge. It sounds familiar.
It was the voice of Hwee Nei's dad.
And after a while, I heard my bro's voice.
OMG, we must have dead. I said to myself.
Immediately, we pretended to call one of our teachers' name, just to act as we are brought there by a teacher.

I have forgotten how we ended this matter without being scolded by adults or known by teachers.
But, yea, we were lucky as nothing danger happened to us.

It was funny...We were so childish.
